Coby Katz

Self-taught contemporary artist Coby Katz is known for his intricately designed paintings. From an early age, Katz developed a love for the arts which eventually transitioned to painting. Through his conversations with canvas, Katz finally found the best way to express himself, or, as he put it, the best way to get along with himself. At 15 years old, he embarked on a journey to leave his mark on the world; one that is inspiring, vivid, and beautiful. The emerging artist’s work was initially influenced by Old Masters such as Roy Lichtenstein, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol. Mastering & building on the techniques of Old Masters, Katz developed his own unique style which explores themes of human influence, love, and physicality. Fascinated by architecture, symbolic figures sharing powerful messages, and innovative ways to create, Coby Katz seeks to share a unique story with each of his elaborate paintings. There are many differences in getting where you want to go. The important thing is that you take the first step, even if you don’t see the whole staircase. By allowing the orientation of the viewer to shift depending on which viewpoint is followed, the scenes are open to a continuous cycle of interpretation.
