After studying in Paris at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Modernes from 1981 to 1984, Dominique Capocci was first inspired by the life of the media and advertising.
Photographer, Artistic Director for many communication agencies, then Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare, in the Publicis group, he now devotes himself to his painting.
If for more than 20 years, his creative medium remains the screen and his brush the mouse, Dominique Capocci today decides to devote himself to the material with the same happiness that he tracks images or ideas.
In his painting, he uses his artistic training to approach pictorial techniques from pencil drawing, masking and calligraphy to oil painting.
By a voluntary choice of topical subjects, witnesses of a certain reality and revealing of a history, Dominique Capocci paints the character traits of a society of demands, whose freedom of expression is like breathing in an amalgam , where characters, decor and material come together to get to the point.
Neither to please others, nor to succeed, Dominique Capocci presents his creations here without daring to speak of works which nevertheless demonstrate an obvious technical mastery.
More than an approach or a vision, a real patient work and aware of the importance of detail.
